Bringing the best out of people to help your business perform better
Be a leader, not a doer
Managers in many small or medium-sized businesses often complain they’re stuck ‘doing’ more than ‘leading’. In the long run, if left unresolved, this can negatively impact growth, performance and morale. Whether you’re new to leading or have plenty of experience under your belt, my three-day leadership programme is designed to help you succeed – and not just at work. There are plenty of learnings to take home, too. Quite literally.
Let’s redefine leadership
True story: everybody is a leader. It doesn’t matter what your business card says or where you sit – if your job involves working with other people, you are leading them. From the first jobber to the seasoned professional, I work with people at all levels of business to develop the resilience, confidence and skills they need to effect change in their own microcosms. Because if everybody feels trusted to do their jobs, the whole business benefits. And that’s a vital component in our definition
of leadership.
Personal growth = business growth
A good leader values others – and that starts with valuing themselves.
I will coach your people on leadership skills, team working and business communication skills by holding up a mirror and helping them discover their individual strengths (and weaknesses). The transformation comes from a new sense of self-awareness and empathy. It is no exaggeration to say that the leadership programme is life-changing. Without exception, those who attend will go away and think differently – about their work selves, home selves, and relationship selves. This will boost performance across your business, one mindset at a time.
The coach approach
Everybody is different. I pay attention to individual needs and adapt my communication style accordingly. My (poor) attempts at humour put people at ease and keep them engaged. I never mess about with your business needs though, and I’m not afraid to voice what others feel they can’t to get the best out of people. It’s hard-hitting but we do have fun at the same time. There is no sitting back when working with me: everyone is encouraged to get fully involved, and they all do. It’s a long way from corporate. No passengers. No powerpoints. No nonsense.

What to expect
(on the leadership programme)
I’m licensed to coach the groundbreaking Living Leader Programmes, which have been delivered to tens of thousands of people globally.
Here’s how the Leadership module works.
Days 1 + 2
We work through both the theory and practical exercises designed to get people thinking about what makes a good leader, and what they could start to change about themselves to get there.
The next 3 weeks (or so)
Time to put everything you’ve learnt into practice on the job. Tackle those recurring issues with a fresh set of skills and a newly -acquired mindset: this is where the real change starts to happen.
Day 3
Your chance to acknowledge your achievements so far and work through any challenges you’re still facing.
About Me
I’m Peter, marathon runner, skier, one-time triathlete and native
of the north. I spent over 30 years working predominantly
in customer service as well as in strategic business planning,
marketing, sales and engineering for giants like British Gas
and the AA. Whilst there, I ran large operations, delivered
major change management programmes and implemented
extensive performance strategies. In 2004 I went back to school
to study Law, during which time I was also a retained
firefighter – full range of experience there!
As a coach I want to share everything I’ve learnt over all these years with those who can benefit the most, transforming businesses
and sharing a few laughs along the way.
